Interesting Opinion:
"The existence of God
One does not have to believe the Bible nor the Koran nor any other formalized scriptures of belief.
The simple fact of our existence in an astounding universe of unimaginable complexity points to a conscious act of creation, an artistic formulation of the laws of physics and an ever growing – ever more varied multiplicity of organic life.
From the moment of creation in the flames of an expanding universe it was evident that this is not chance nor is it a ‘father’ who created this in order to be worshiped according to strict rules.
It rather is an artist giving free reign to his/her/their imagination and if they/he are not around anymore we still need to appreciate the sheer spectacle that was created, the open-ended capability of intelligence and consciousness that now resides in us.
It was offered without thought of commandments nor with threats of punishment, it was simply offered open-ended for us to appreciate and enjoy or ruin, whatever our choice might be.
But if we fail then somewhere else in another time, on another planet or in a cloud of gas someone will succeed and at the end will attain the final price; to continue the tradition and create again.
Meanwhile our last chapter has not been written and as humanity struggles to escape the age of superstition and ‘fear of god –( god-fearing?)’ we are far off realizing our potential – mired in ancient fables and a blood-soaked history of brutality and ignorance.
Go into nature and contemplate a rock and imagine the difference in consciousness of this rock to the flower growing next to it, witness the dash of a rabbit – the curious nose of the meerkat, look at the majestic undulations of a whale and listen to its mournful song; wander the forest and taste the silence of a patient being; speak to all of them and tell them you understand that they are part of you – intertwined in a complex dance of life, project your emotion at them – they will understand and so will God…… "

I do not totally agree but he makes interesting points! I dont think God created us for the sole purpose of him wanting to be worshiped! I feel that we were created to be his "company", a companion for the long run! I think he is still a large part of who we are and how we see ourselves now,`and in the future. We need the idea of someone greater watching over us! Later on the page it discusses evolution and how you cannot have both faith and science. In the Bible it does not say at what stage god starts life only he began life. It dosn't even say god created man. If you were to be given a literal translation of old Hebrew it would say..."And he gave life to man." Meaning we could have "evolved" and he gave us the gift of his "image".

A Nentindo WII
A Harly Davidson
And a TRUE LOVE
Poem for Today:
First Kiss
Her eyes, beautiful and dark,
I take her hand, lead her through the park.
Along a path, through the trees,
I feel the cold, autumn breeze.
Everything slows down, as her other hand finds my cheek,
My eyes sparkle with love, my legs go weak.
Our lips press gently, the sun shines gold,
Drops of rain surround us, my heart is sold.
